Winch Hill Farm

Hidden away off the beaten track, just outside Luton stands Winch Hill Farm. I've struggled to find out anything about this place, but clearly it has been derelict for quite some time. At some point in its history the main farmhouse has suffered a fire, although I am unsure if this is the reason it was left to rot or if it's the work of arsonists after it was abandoned. Pictures from 2009 show the roof damaged but largely intact but it has since collapsed leaving the building in a very dangerous state - I would not recommend going into the house!

Over on the other side of the grounds stands a second, also derelict house. This to has suffered a fire but not to the extent of the main house. At some point an attempt was made to secure this building but this obviously failed. In one of the rooms inside there are names and a date - 10.5.97 so the building has been empty for a minimum of 16 years.
